When Death is personified, it normally takes the form of a hooded man with a scythe, harvesting the lives of humans all over the world. This is why he is sometimes called the Grim Reaper. While he may be perceived as malevolent, he's usually just doing his job. Sometimes he makes deals with humans to save the lives of loved ones, for a cost.
Other forms Death is known to take are that of a skeleton, the last person to die, a man in a suit, a small bird, a female deity or saint, or a black dog.
