An assassin's livelihood depends on their ability to kill targets for payment. Therefore, they are usually highly skilled in weaponry, stealth, acrobatics and espionage. The earliest known use of organized groups of Assassins dates back to just before the First Crusade. While the name is derived from Hashishan (a kind of drug-abuser) it is considered a misnomer. Regardless, Assassins were fierce and unafraid to die, killing war generals and politicians alike. They were never a threat to the general public, however.

Villages[]

The Assassin card is rather weak when in a village, due to only having one power. However, he is worth 3 gold, making him quite a valuable unit to keep in your village. Conversely, his ability to instantly win a fight when he is hired to attack creates an interesting risk/reward system.

Strategies[]

The Assassin may seem like an overpowered card due to his ability to instantly win when he is hired to attack a village. However, as he has a gold value of 3, it is quite costly to do so and therefore, should only be used in dire situations.

Make note the Defender is the only card able to negate the Assassins' ability.

Alternate Art (Kickstarter Exclusive)[]

The alternate artwork is almost certainly a nod to the Assassin's Creed series of video games.

The alternate art is found on the Red Assassin card.
